..Emmanuel Orders Arrest of Contractor over Collapsed Church Building

Seventeen persons were on Sunday, December 11 injured when two suicide bombers attacked the Maiduguri Sunday market, raising fears over the activities of the islamiist insurgents in the state once more.
Two of the suicide bombers were said to have died in the attack just as Governor Shettima of Borno State has asked that the market which was shot after the incident be reopened again for business.
The governor gave the directive on report that normalcy had returned to the market. He also directed that residents should go about their normal businesses.
The officials of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reportedly evacuated the injured persons to the hospital where they are receiving medical attention.
Meanwhile , Governor Udo Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom had directed that the contractor handling the renovation of the collapsed church building in Uyo where scores of worshippers were killed and many others injured on Saturday , December 10.
Emmanuel was among the persons who survived from the building collapse where some of his officials were injured and hospitalised.
