Quorum Aviation’s Crashed Helicopter Not Fitted with Black Box, Says AIB

The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has clarified that the Bell 206 Helicopter operated by Quorum Aviation limited that crashed at noon on Friday in Opebi area of Ikeja, Lagos State was not fitted with Black Box or Flight Data Recorder, FDR. 
An earlier report indicated that the AIB had recovered the black box and had commenced an investigation to unravel the cause of the crash.
 
However the latest report quoted the AIB Spokesman, Mr. Tunji Oketunbi  to have said the crashed Bell helicopter was “not fitted with Black Box.”
The copter is rated for one pilot, Vanguard reports.
The report also identified the three occupants of the ill-fated copter as crew members – the pilots, identified as Captain Chika Prudence Ernest and the Engineer, Clement Ndiok and a fitter whose name was not disclosed.
