The 13-page letter which former President Olusegun Obasanjo wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari advising him not to seek reelection for the office of the president has divided the All Progressive Congress (APC) governors, Armadanews.com has learnt.
While the letter was said to have captured the thinking of some of the APC governors who see Buhari as too old to continue in office beyond 2019, others who are hiding under Buhari to seek reelection in their respective states see the letter as damaging.
A source close to one of the governors told this medium that “the APC governors are sharply divided on the letter Obasanjo wrote to Buhari,” adding that “it was least expected such a letter would be written.”
The who said the letter was damaging to the image of the president and the APC added that it was not unlikely Obasanjo got the buy-in some party members before he embarked on the exercise.
