A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of two properties allegedly owned by a former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun gave the ruling on Wednesday, February 28, for the permanent forfeiture to the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The properties include: Penthouse 21 building 5, Block C, 11 floor, Bella Vista, Banana Island, Ikoyi, and Penthouse 22, Block B (Admiralty Estate) also in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The court had earlier ordered a temporary forfeiture of the said property pending who comes forward to lay claims. It had fixed today for continuation on the matter.
When the matter came up on Wednesday, the prosecutors, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reminded the court that no on e had come forward to claim the said property, a situation the judge ordered their final forfeiture to the Federal Government.
