Ex-president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo and Chief Olu Falae, national chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP)met on Tuesday at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The closed door meeting was said to be in connection with the state of Nigerian nation, according to sources.
Falae reportedly arrived Obasanjo’s penthouse around 12 noon and went straight into the meeting, according to sources.
It was gathered that others who attended the meeting included a two time governorship candidate in Ogun State, Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka; a former spokesperson to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Doyin Okupe; a governorship aspirant of SDP in the state, Sina Kawonise, among others.
I came to see Obasanjo to discuss affairs of Nigeria, was what Falae said.
HE said the affairs of Nigeria are bigger than the aspirations of an individual.
His group are believed go be working with Obasanjo on a possible presidential candidate that will defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
Obasanjo has advised Buhari not to seek reelection, but the president last week formally declared to contest again.
