Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said Nigeria needs the wisdom of the old and resilience of the young to realise its potentials.
He also said the current government led by the All Progressive Congress was doing a lot to encourage the youth to be the best they could in any profession.
Osinbajo spoke on Tuesday at the Platform, a programme of the Covenant Christian Centre led by Peju Oyemade at Iganmu area of Lagos.
This year’s topic was tagged “Get involved.”
Speakers at the event including Professor Kingsley Moghalu, Fela Durotaye, Sola Salako- Ajulo, Leke Adler, Nnamdi Okonkwo among others canvassed for generational shift in leadership and urged the youth to show greater interest in politics.
They argued that politics should not be left in the hands of those who are not mindful of the future of the youth and advised that the time for Nigerians to get involved in politics was now.
Pastor Oyemade reiterated that the Platform was part of his contribution to the wellbeing of the country and urged participants to take seriously views canvassed at the ocassion.
He said Nigeria needs an enlightened followershop to make a change.
