Olusola-Eleka nominates 39-year-old as running-mate for Ekiti governorship election

Kazeem Deji Ogunsajin as running mate

Professor Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, has chosen 39-year-old Kazeem Deji-Ogunsakin as his running mate.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria,  Ogunsakin, a native of Ado Ekiti, is the immediate past Chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government.

He is currently the Head of Due Process unit at the office of Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The PDP Chairman in the state, Gboyega Oguntuase, told newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Friday that the decision to pick Ogunsakin, a young banker, was reached after consultations with stakeholders.

Oguntuase said:  “The choice of the 39-year-old economist and banker was informed by the need to involve the younger generation in governance of the state in line with global trend.

“It is also our belief that Ado Ekiti, being the state capital with the largest voting population, deserves consideration for deputy governorship position.

“It was also to give the Muslim community in the state a sense of belonging.”

Ogunsakin, a graduate of economics from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Lagos.
