He said his victory was for all the aspirants hence he invited them to join the effort to take Ekiti to the level the APC desires for her.
He called his co-contested to join hands so that the party will win the election in July. He said he hopes to engage his co-contestants in his campaign plan.
Fayemi will now face Professor Kolapo Olusola, governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the forthcoming elections.
Fayemi said he was not on any vengance mission as is being insinuated and pledged to be fair to all if he eventually wins the governorship election in July.
Fayemi was governor of Ekiti before he was defeated in 2014 by the incumbent and outgoing governor Ayodele Fayose.
Within the Ekiti PDP, it is believed that the members are comfortable with Fayemi because they believe it will be easier to defeat him again.
