Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group has said he is ready to take a new wife.
In an interview with David Piling in Financial Times’s Lunch on Wednesday, Dangote, Africa’s richest man and business mogul, made the revelation, saying he is on the lookout but it doesn’t make sense to go out and get somebody when he doesn’t have the time.
Dangote said: “I’m not getting younger. Sixty years is no joke. But it doesn’t make sense to go out and get somebody if you don’t have the time. Right now, things are really, really very busy, because we have the refinery, we have the petrochemicals, we have the fertiliser, we have the gas pipeline.”
Dangote gave his daughter Fatima out in marriage in March. Fatima married Abubakar Jamil, a pilot and the son of former Inspector-General of police, Mohammed Abubakar.
The wedding ceremony was held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, on March 23 and the ceremony was attended by those who matter around the world including Bill Gates.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo, First Lady Aisha Buhari; Senate President, Bukola Saraki; Bola Ahmed Tinubu and a host of others represent the politics contingent at the ceremony.
The 61-year-old has been married four times, and his first three marriages ended in divorce. He has a total of three children from these marriages.
