Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has commended the All Progressive Congress members in the National Assembly who defected to the opposition People’s Democratic Party, but said they did it late.
Wike was speaking in Port Harcourt on Saturday when he embarked on projects inpection within the state.
He commended the senators and members of the House of Representatives who dumbed the APC for the PDP for rejecting a platform that has failed Nigerians.
However, the Rivers State Governor said he had expected that the lawmakers would have dumped the APC a year when they noticed that the party has nothing to offer the people.
Regardless, Wike said he is expecting more defections from both the lawmakers and governors in the APC.
