Kano deputy governor Abubakar resigns

The deputy governor of Kano state Hafiz Abubakar has resigned from his position.

Abubakar did in Sunday, August 5 in a letter he sent to Governor  Abdullahi Ganduje.

Ganduje and Abubakar have been having issues of late that made the governor to suggest resignation for his deputy.

In his resignation letter Abubakar reminded Ganduje if efforts he had made to resolve tbeir differences which the governor rebuffed and noted that he had to leave due to the ” irreconcilable differences.”

Abubakar insisted that the interest of the people of Kano was nit being served well with the face off festering, noting that he thought he would have loved to continue to manage the situation till they serve out their term by May 2019.

Abubakar had earlier dismissed insinuation he was joining the opposition People’s Democratic Party sayung he will remain in the ruling All Progressive Congress.

Abubakar is not the only APC deputy governor quarrelling with his boss.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has long fallen out with his deputy, Eze Madumere also over irreconcilable differences bothering on Okorocha’s successor.

Last week Okorocha masterminded the impeachment of Madumere but the court has stopped the swearing in of the new deputy governor .
