An Abuja High court on Thursday summoned the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions in respect of the freezing of Benue State government’s account on Wednesday.
The court wants the EFCC to show cause for its action in a motion on notice argued by Emeka Etiaba, counsel to the Benue State government on Thursday.
The court had mandated the EFCC to unfreeze the account but ruled that the matter be slated for hearing on August 14 next week.
The account was accordingly unfrozen.
