Buhari returns from London vacation, mourns Kofi Annan death

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after a 10 day vacation in London.

Buhari returned on Saturday received by governo Yahaya Bello of Kogi state, service chiefs and other senior government officials.

The President on his return condoled with the government and people of Ghana over the passing of former United Nations Secretary General, Kofi Annan, who died in the early hours of Saturday.

Buhari joined other world leaders like Theresa May of the United Kingdom, Emmanuel Macron of France, Donald Trump of the United States to bemoan Annan’s passing.

Buhari said Annan was a diplomat and world statesman of repute who contributed immensely to the peace and development of the world during his reign in the UN.

He said with Annan’s death the world in general and Ghana in particular have lost a great statesman.
