The third mainland bridge will be closed to traffic for repairs from August 23 to 26 according to the Lagos State government.
The bridge will be shut from the midnight of Thursday, August 23 to the midnight of Sunday, August 26.
There was an attempt earlier on in June to repair the bridge but the Lagos State government sought an extension to enable the adhoc arrangement being made on the traffic challenge on Apapa/ Oshodi expressway to be completed.
During the repairs there will skeletal passage on the bridge but the Lagos State government and the federal ministry of works have assured motorists that efforts are in place to reduce the hardship the closure would cause them.
