Ahead of midnight on Sunday, August 25 propsed for the official reopening of the third mainland bridge shut for repairs, the brige had been reopened to motorists.
The bridge was flung open at 5 pm because the repair works or investigation on it was completed ahead of time.
The Lagos State ministry of transportation permanent secretary Taiwo Salaam confirmed the reopening in a statement on Sumday.
He thanked motorists and Lagosians for their understanding.
