Former Kano state governor and senator, Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso, has declared his intention to run for presidency in 2019 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He did on Wednesday in Abuja at a venue that was overflowing with humans, mainly his kwankwasiya members who were all clad in their red cap identity
.
Making his declaration, the former governor said time to change the change had come.
He spoke in Hausa and English and urged his supporters to dump the All Progressive Congress (APC), the platform with which he became senator in 2015.
He pledged to transform Nigeria if given the opportunity, saying every Nigeria must be proud to be one under his administration.
Kwankwaso was refused declaration at the Eagle Square and was also not allowed to do so in Kano by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Despite the denial to allow him use Eagle Square, Kwankwanso declared at Chida Hotel, Jabi, Abuja.
He boasted again that he has what it takes to beat Buhari in the presidential poll next year.
