Senate President, Bukola Saraki has met with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja, in what is connected with Saraki’s presidential ambition next year.

Saraki’s aide, Olu Onemola, announced the meeting on his Twitter handle Wednesday afternoon.

He also shared some photos from the meeting.

Saraki was among the top PDP members who opposed the reelection of Jonathan and had to quit the party for the All Progressive Congress (APC) to ensure Jonathan never got reelected. They  succeeded in their plot.

But what they envisaged in APC has not materialised as Saraki and some of his APC chieftains recently defected back to the PDP.

The senate president has been going from the house of one PDP chieftain to the other to seek their pardon and understanding, in most cases telling them that in politics what matters is personal interest and not permanent enemies.
