Outgoing governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose has dropped his presidential ambition.
Fayose had said in 2017 that he would take a shot at Nigeria’s presidency in 2019.
But he hinted on Saturday that the ambition may no longer be feasible due to shocking political development.
He was particular about the fate that befell his deputy, Prof Kolapo Olusola-Eleka during the recent Ekiti governorship election.
Fayose feels tge exercise was rigged against his party, the People’s Democratic Party.
Eleka has gone to court to challenge the process of the election that brought former governor and minister, Kayode Fayemi as winner.
