Nigeria’s Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun resigns

Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reportedly resigned from her position.

Adeosun has been in he eye of the storm over forged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate.

She has conceded that the NYSC certificate was procured unusually.

Daily Trust  reported the story of her resignation, but said it is not clear when she submitted her resignation letter.

The newspaper cited a source tom have said Adeosun felt that her position is becoming untenable and hurting President Muhammadu Buhari 2019 reelection.

When Armadanews .com called Adeosun’s media aide, Oluyinka Akintunde, he did not take his call.

The Presidency was also contacted but neither Femi Adesina nor Garba Shehu, two media aides to Buhari has responded to the resignation at press time.
