TheCable has reported that the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a faction of Boko Haram, has executed Hauwa Leman, an aide worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The online newspaper also reported that the terrorists had promised to keep Leah Sharibu, the Dapchi schoolgirl, as “a slave for life”.

Leah has been pleading with the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari to come to her rescue.

The mother also went to Aso Rock to plead with Buhari over her daughter.

Buhari has promised to secure her release, at the weekend the federal government delegation led by the minister of information, LAi Mohammed went to Yobe state to reassure Leah’s parents that government was doing something about her release and that of the aide workers in Boko Haram custody with her.

The news of the killing of the Red Cross aide worker will no doubt heighten the fear Leah’s parents already have regarding her safety.
