Nigeria’s inflation remains high at 11.28% in Sept

The data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on consumer price index (CPI), which measures inflation, stood at 11.28 per cent in September from 11.28 per cent recorded in August.

 

Going by the inflation report released by the NBS on Tuesday, this is the second consecutive month inflation is rising after 18 consecutive months of decline.

 

It is believed that the rise in September was propelled by high cost of food and other factors.
