All the bank accounts associated with one of Nigeria’s insurance firms, Niger Insurance Plc have been frozen.
There are indications the accounts were frozen by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission based on alleged business deals involving the organisation and some business partners.
Armadanews.com was informed by sources close to the insurance company that the development has put the management in a difficult situation.
Cheques issued to customers and policy holders of the insurance firm are not getting attention for more than a week from the banks as they complained that the accounts are under ganishee.
It was however learnt that the legal department of the insurance outfit are running up and down to vacate whatever case that is responsible for the colossal change now based on the directives of D.K. Adedeji, the Chief Executive Officer of Niger Insurance Plc.
