Jonathan leads PDP top guns for Atiku Sokoto presidential rally

Former president, Goodluck Jonathan led other top members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for a rally that held at Kangiwa square in Sokoto state to kick-start former vice president Atiku Abubakar’s nationwide rally.

 

It was the launch of the northwest zonal campaign of the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku.

 

Other PDP top shots include the Atiku’s running mate, Peter Obi, former Sokoto State governor, Attahiru Bafarawa, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Senator Musa Kwankwaso, Sokoto state governor Aminu Tambuwal among others.

Other dignitaries at the PDP event are former deputy governor of Sokoto state, Muntari Shagari, chairmen of PDP in the seven states in the zone as well as members of state Houses of Assembly elected on the platform of the PDP and all leaders of the party in the zone.

 

The national chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, and other speakers who addressed the crowd called for the party members to vote out the Muhammadu Buhari administration

 

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Atiku was earlier scheduled to arrive Sokoto for the rally at noon, but arrived the city at 2pm and proceeded to the Kangiwa square along with other stalwarts of the party.
