The military hierarchy on Sunday swooped on the office of the Daily Trust in Abuja, arresting the regional editor and a reporter.
There were insinuations the operation was based on a lead story of the medium that focused on military opeartioms in the north which the authorities did not like.
The military hierarchy last year threatened media houses with stiff sanctions if they reported activities concerning them which they frowned on.
