Nigeria’s Acting chief justice swears in election tribunal members

The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Mohammed has inaugurated members of the election tribunal.

He did in Abuja on Saturday, his first major assisgnment since he was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace Walter Onnoghen, his predecessor who was suspended on Friday.

The tribunal membership covers the national assembly, governorship, and state assembly elections.

Many believe Onnoghen was removed because of the interest President Buhari and his cabals have in the membership of the tribunals.

Mohammed told the 250 2019 election tribunal members to uphold the highest level of integrity for the judiciary.
