Former spokesperson of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, may have to continue gto seek medical help within the country, the Appeal Court ruled on Wednesday.
The appellate court ruled that Metuh’s application to travel abroad for medical treatment lacks merit.
Metuh had approached the Appeal court to challenge the refusal of Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja, to deny him permission to seek medicare out side the country.
Abang is trying Metuh in a money laundering charge brought before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Metuh said the Abang-led court is bias.
Justice Abdul Aboki of the Court of Appeal held that Metuh failed to prove that the trial court was biased.
