Suspended Nigerian Chief Justice Walter Onnoghen has arrived the Code of Conduct Tribunal for trial.
He is expected to be docked today.
The Danladi Umar-led CCT had caused a warrant of arrest to be issued on Onnoghen with security operatives urges to bring him to the tribunal today willy nilly if he fails to show up on his own.
He is being accused of fraudulent asset declaration to the Code of Conduct.
President Muhammadu Buhari suspended him few weeks ago amd replaced him with Mohammed Tanko, a development that set the government against the judiciary.
The National Judicial Council haa waded into the circumstances of Onnoghen suspension and Tamko’s appointment setting up a five man panel to look into the matter.
Onnoghen arrived the CCT in aconvoy of many vehicles. Many of the occupants are senior lawyers for his defence.
