The Igbo Conscience (TIC)  felicitates with and heartily congratulates President Muhammadu Buhari on his resounding victory in the just concluded Presidential election. TIC sees President Buhari’s victory as a huge endorsement of honesty, integrity, frugality and transparency which President Buhari personifies.

The TIC did in a statement signed by  the spokesman, Kelechi Nwagwu and leader of the group, Joe Igbokwe.

The statement read: “TIC endorsed President Buhari for re-election based on the honest and transparent way he had managed the affairs of the country for the past four years. This frugal disposition has seen Nigeria emerge stronger from a recession from which many other oil-producing countries are yet to survive, build a massive infrastructural investment, revolutionary agricultural growth, comprehensive tackling with the ruinous cankerworm of corruption, historic social intervention scheme, huge economic growth and the laying of viable foundation for a sold and assured growth.

“In endorsing President Buhari for re-election, we took into consideration his unassailable achievements in just four years against the moth-ridden decay he met when he came on board. We considered the massive achievements he had recorded in Igboland such as the building of the Second Niger Bridge, fixing federal highways in the East, building a power plant to energize the Aba industrial hub, among many others. We are happy that Nigerians share our sentiments and they proved this by turning massive votes for him in the last election.

“TIC urges President Buhari to continue on his laudable efforts to reclaim Nigeria and build a durable and viable nation we all would be proud of. We urge him to continue his indelible record of achievements in Igboland and other parts of the country as history will ultimately vindicate him for restarting the bulding of a new and modern Nigeria after a long spell of moth-ridden eras.

“Congratulations our beloved President and may your well-deserved second tenure bring many more laudable achievements for Nigeria.”
