Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Wednesday morning signed the Senate’s version of the National Minimum Wage Bill, 2019 (SB 722).
The Bill passed the Third Reading stage at the Senate on Tuesday.
Minimum wage Bill
The senate has according deliberated on the bill and approved the N30,000 minimumm wage for Nigerian federal and state workers.
The House of Representatives was the first to okay the the recommendations for the payment of N30,000 minimum,wage to workers per month.
The Bill will now await the assent of President Muhammadu Buhari before it becomes a law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
