An Appeal Court sitting in Abuja will on Thursday, May 9, 2019, deliver judgement on the Osun state governorship election matter.
The court will sit at 9 am.
This is contained in a hearing motion served on the respondents by the Senior Registrar of the court on Wednesday.
The Osun Governorship Election Tribunal had sacked Governor Gboyega Oyetola and declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the 2018 governorship election in Osun state.
Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had approached the Appeal Court to upturn the judgement of the election tribunal.
There is uneasy calm in the camp of both governor Oyetola and Adeleke.
Adeleke was on Tuesday arraigned by the police at an Abuja Magistrate Court in Mpape over certificate forgery.
He was granted bail.
