Former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon was at the Aso Rock Villa on Monday to visit President Muhammadu Buhari, the first of such leaders since Buhari was reelected president.
Gowon and Buhari met for 40 minutes behind close-doors, but when he emerged, the retired General told reporters that Buhari was doing well and that his government was on the right track.
Gowon sited agriculture, security as the areas the Buhari government was not resting in its oars.
After Gowon, four other governors from four geo-political zones were also at the State House to see Buhari.
They include, Governors Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Will;y Obiano (Anambra), Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Akinwunimi Ambode (Lagos).
