The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Tuesday retained its interest rate amid rising inflation.
The CBN Govetrnor, Godwin Emefiele told newsmen in Abuja on Tuesday that the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) held the rate at 13.5 percent in a 9 to 2 vote.
The CBN in March cut its key rate, the first in three years.
The MPC was held to look at the economy in the first quarter and half year of 2019 and project for the year end in the next six months.
