Members of the New All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State have returned back to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) fold.

Led by former minister of Interior, Capt Emmanuel Iheancho, they were at the country home of Governor-elect of Imo state, Emeka Ihedioha, at Mbutu in Mbaise to announce their intention to return to the PDP on Tuesday.

The delegation had Uche Onyeagocha and Dr Alex Obi as part of its leaders, and they formally announced their official defection of all New APGA members to the PDP.

A delighted Ihedioha thanked the group for their support and promised to liaise with the PDP leadership in the State to formalize their return to the party.

Recall that Iheancho was once a ranking member of the PDP before he left the party for APGA and also ran for the governorship of Imo state under the party’s platform with Ihedioha in 2015.
