President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday received a delegation from the Pan-Yoruba Socio-Cultural Group, Afenifere, who came to congratulate him on his re-election for a second term in office at the Council Chamber, State House, Abuja.
The delegation was led to Buhari by national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu with the meeting pregnant with former Lagos State Governor’s 2023 presidential ambition.
At the meeting, the delegation had thanked Buhari for conceding their request to also have their son, Femi Gbajabiamila emerge Speaker of the House of Representatives, making him the number four Nigerian in a country where Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, another Tinibu boy who is the number two Nigerian comes from the same zone.
It was also an opportunity for the South west to present their areas of need in the next cabinet of Buhari as he begins to shortlist members.
Until now, Tinubu was believed to have destroyed the unity within the Afenifere camp for his selfish political reasons.
Those in the delegation are already being described as Yoruba traitors by some people from the ethnic nationality.
