Madagascar national team on Sunday humbled boastful Super Eagles of Nigeria, beating them 2-0 at the ongong African Cup of Nations competition going on in Egypt and demoting the country on the Group B table.
Nigeria was top on the table having beaten Burundi and Guinea in ealier encounnters to qualify for the round of 16 with 6 points from two wins.
Madagascar was second on the table with 4 points before engaging Super Eagles of Nigeria on Sunday.
But in a surprising outing, the Madagascar boys took Nigerians by storm firing one goal during the first 45 minutes of play and scoring another free kick during the second half to win Super Eagles roundly.
Madagascar now tops the table with 7 points while Nigeria is second with 6 points.
Both countries have however qualified for the round of 16 with Nigeria ready to play Ghana next week.
