Timipre Silva is new oil minister, Zainab retains Finance

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria swore in members of his cabinet into office on Wednesday, August 21.

 

While he kept the portfolio of oil minister to himself, Buhari appointed former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Silva as the new minister of state for petroleum.

 

There are 43 ministers in all.

 

Silva replaces Ibe Kachikwu and as minister of state for petroleum, will manage the portfolio on a day-to-day basis.

 

Also, Buhari retained Hajia Zainab Ahmed as  finance minister.

 

The full list of ministers inaugurated in Abuja Wednesday by Buhari include:
