The National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abia State has nullified the election of Senator Orji Kalu, the Senate majority whip.
Kalu, two term former governor of Abia State, was elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The tribunal on Monday, also ordered a rerun election for Abia North Senatorial District.
Meanwhile, other reports from the tribunals in Lagos an Anambra states indicate that Senator Remi Tinubu’s election was upheld for Lagos Central Senatorial district, Senator Ifeanyi Uba for Anambra South on the platform of Young Progressive Party (YPP) and Senator Uche Ekwunife of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)for Anambra Central.
