Nigeria’s apex court, the Supreme Court will Wednesday, October 30 hear the appeal brought before it by candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the February presidential election Atiku Abubakar against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Atiku had appealed the ruling of the Appeal Court that said Buhari won the presidential election and so dismissed the PDP’s petition as lacking in merit.
Buhari was the candidate of the All Progressive Congress.
Both the PDP and APC candidates were put on notice regarding when the Supreme Court will rule through their counsel.
On Sunday, it emerged that the apex court is now ready to hear the case and had fixed October 30 for it.
