Babcock University in Iseyin Ogun state has expelled two students whose sex video that went viral has been trending on social media.
The students were found to have engaged in unprotected sex in a clinic but their act was leaked, went viral and has elicited uncomplimentary responses on the school.
The students who engaged in anal and oral sex were said to have been expelled.
Joshua Suleiman, Director of Marketing and Communications of Babcock University said in a statement on Wednesday that the sexual escapade did not take place in the school premises contrary to claim.
He said the lady partner, a third year accountancy student was expelled in April after investigations found her culpable of behaviour that fell short of the school’s moral standard.
According to Suleiman, the girl had gone to see her boy friend, another student who was undergoing rehabilitation in a hospital in Abeokuta, Ogun state over habits that were endangering his moral, psychological and social well being.
During the visit, they were found to have engaged in the sexual act that caused the university to launch an investigation.
After the probe, the boy was expelled in February while the girl was expelled in April.
He said the school is noted for its high moral standard and explained that it could not have harboured such characters who obviously have allowed themselves to be influenced by the general state of decadence in the moral standard of our society.
The school said it was not ready to deviate from her standard as an institution with high moral ethics.
