Minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi has said he was not beaten by members of the Independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) when he was attacked in Madrid Spain on Friday.
Amaechi said in a statement on Saturday, December 7 that the claim by Emma Powerful, IPOB spokesman that he was beaten and physically molested was false.
The statement from Amaechi’s media office said the minister warded off the threat by the IPOB members by daring them and getting the Spanish police to wade in before the plan of the boys could be reàlised.
Amaechi again thanked Nigerians for their prayers and the Spanish police foe their timely intervention.
Amaechi was attacked in Madrid Spain on Friday while he was attending conference on çlimate change.
