Philip Osondu, former golden Eaglet player has reportedly died in Belgium, aged 48.
He was said to have died on Thursday, December 12 after visiting the hospital to be examined for an undisclosed ailment.
He was said to have taken ill at work and decided to visit the hospital for checks but did not return home alive.
Philip Osondu, was a regular player for the youth teams of Nigeria in his days.
In 1987 he participated in the World U-16 tournament in Canada where Nigeria reached the final, but then lost on penalties to the Soviet Union.
He got the World Cup Golden Ball as best player of the tournament.
