Rising insecurity in the country has made the Senate Minority Leader to call for the resignation of the Service Chiefs.

But Senator Enyinnanya Abaraibe, the minority leader, has called for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari and the rejigging of the country’s security architecture.

Also  on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, Nigeria’s lower chamber, the House of Representatives, asked all the service chiefs in the President Buhari’s administration to resign their appointment.

The decision may be connected to the rising insecurity in the nation since the present administration came to power five years ago.
Abaribe said that Nigerians elected the All Progressive Congress (APC) to deal with security issues but that the situation has not improved.
The lawmakers said that the service chiefs have overstayed their welcome and ought to be replaced.
The lawmakers complained about the resurgence of insurgency and banditry, particularly in the north east.
