Imo Governor Meets Adopted Son, Joseph Oluomachi Opara

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on Sunday met for the first time with his adopted son and the boy with the golden voice, Joseph Oluomachi Opara.

 

The meeting was at the Government House Chapel, Owerri where Oluomachi is now a proud member of the choir.

Oluomachi, a nine year old boy from Ogwuama in Ahiara, Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State was spotted recently on the street hawking goods but seated inside him was a talent waiting to be harvested.

 

He was said to have enrolled in the choir at the age of five and at nine his angelic voice attracts whoever likes to be in the spirit.

 

Most of those who came in contact with Oluomachi made him sing for them, and it was in the process that he was discovered . He wants to be Catholic Priest.

 

Many Nigerians have identified with him and his family to enable him realise his life ambition. They include former Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode and Senator Stella Oduah. They both made monetary contribution towards his education.

 

But Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State wants Oluomachi for keeps hence he has adopted him as his son.

 

The governor has not only sent his Commissioner for Information, Mbadiwe Emelumba to interface with the Opara family, he told them through Emelumba that he would not want to see his son on the street any longer hawking.

 

Governor Uzodimma gave the family enough money for the upkeep of Oluomachi and promised to provide all that he needs as a father.

 

On Sunday, July 5, 2020, Oluomachi was formally presented to Governor Uzodimma from he sat at the Government House Chapel Choir Gallery, and it was a reunion between father and son to the admiration of all who attended the day’s service. And guess what? Everybody wanted to hear Oluomachi sing for them after the meeting with the governor son.
