Influential media guru and second republic minister, Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua is dead.
He reportedly died in Abuja while undergoing a routine medical check-up. He was 78 years old.
Funtua a second republic number and reportedly suffered a massive heart attack during the medical check-up.e was a long time personal friend and close associate of President Muhammadu Buhari and was a very influential figure in the Buhari administration. He was also a prominent member of the infamous Kaduna Mafie, a loose group of Nigerian businessmen, civil servants, intellectuals and military officers from Northern Nigeria.
