A former Ambassador of the United States of America to Nigeria, Walter Carrington is dead.
He died in the US on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 surrounded by family members. according to his wife, Arise.
Aged 90, Arise said her husband lived a live of humanity and a fulfilled one.
Recently when Carrignton celebrated his 90th birthday, many Nigerian leaders and civil society community paid glowing tributes to a man who stood in defence of the rights of Nigerians during the days of the military junta led by the late Sani Abacha.
