Brazilian forward Neymar has been named as the third Paris Saint-Germain star to test positive for coronavirus, meaning he could miss the French champions' opening Ligue 1 clash with Lens on 10 September.

According to the agency report, the 28-year-old had been on holiday in Ibiza, following Les Parisiens' 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League final on 23 August.
And it was on the Balearic island that Neymar contracted the virus, along with fellow PSG teammates Leandro Paredes and Angel Di Maria, who both spent their time off at the same holiday destination, according to L’Équipe.

The Brazil international was tested for the virus on Wednesday, and he will now spend the next seven days in quarantine, severely hampering coach Thomas Tuchel's preparation for the coming season.
PSG were allowed two weeks of rest ahead of the Ligue 1 re-start, having reached the final of the rearranged Champions League tournament. Tuchel's side are due to kick off their title defence with a trip to Lens, which will take place only eight days after Neymar's positive test result.
The game itself may also be hanging in the balance, as Ligue 1 has enforced a law postponing any fixture, should a team fall victim to four or more cases of the coronavirus ahead of a match.
This rule came into play for the opening day of the season, when Marseille's match with St Etienne was called off when four players, including ex-Crystal Palace goalkeeper Steve Mandanda tested positive for the virus.

The French giants will be hoping for their trio to make quick recoveries in isolation then, having all played a key role in their journey to the European cup final in August.

Neymar and his superstar colleagues were unable to stop German champions Bayern from lifting the trophy, as former PSG star Kingsley Coman bagged the only goal of the game for Die Roten.
