- NPA Building, Sanwo-Olu Family Home, Banks, BRT Terminal, Others Razed
Despite the 24 hour curfew imposed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, street urchins otherwise known as ‘area boys’, Wednesday, defied the curfew and continued to unleash mayhem across the state, setting ablaze, private and government establishments, including the Television Continental (TVC), linked to APC Chieftain, Senator Bola Tinubu, the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) building, Sanwo-Olu family home and Banks, located on Lagos Island, among others.
Some facilities located on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1, posh vehicles were torched.
Also, the BRT terminal located on Oyingbo, Lagos Mainland was attacked by the hoodlums. About 40 buses parked in the terminal as at the time of the attack on Wednesday were set ablaze.
The hoodlums, who hijacked the protests, had on Tuesday, burnt some police stations in Lagos and Oyo states, barely 24 hours after a similar incident occurred in Edo state. More than one thousand inmates were also freed in Edo by the miscreants
Lagos, Ondo, Edo, Ekiti, Imo and Osun are among states that have declared a 24-hour curfew to forestall breakdown of law and order.
