Former President of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings is dead.
Rawlings, according to agency report, died Thursday morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) in Accra, where he was being treated for an disclosed ailment.
A former Ghanaian military leader and Democratic president, Rawlings reportedly took ill shortly after his mother’s burial recently.
He was head of military junta from 1981 and 1992, and two term democratically elected President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. He was born on June 22, 1947.
