Pupils and students of all primary and secondary schools in Imo State on Monday had the opportunity of hearing from Governor Hope Uzodimma of thye distribution of free school bags and exercise books as they return to school for a new academic session.
At a well attended ceremony at the Heroes Square on Monday, thye pupils and the students with their teachers turned out in their numbers for the official flag off of the distribution which the governor directed should take place in their schools to avoid stampede.
The event was coordinated by the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs.
The event was graced by political appointees and members of the Imo State House of Assembly.
