Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has appointed Prof. Peter Achilike Akah as the acting Vice Chancellor of the Imo State University, Owerri.
Prof. Akah replaces Prof. Victoria Adaobi Obasi, whose tenure elapsed on December 31, 2020.
Prof. Akah, until his appointment is a professor of Pharmacology at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
A statement from the office of the secretary to Imo State Government, Cosmas Iwu on Thursday said Prof. Akah’s appointment takes effect from January 4, 2021.
